The Flying Elk in Hong Kong opens the door to a unique contemporary dining experience by Björn Frantzén.
In a setting best described as a modern Nordic cabin, we serve genuine food with influences from all over Europe. Enjoy medium-sized dishes to share, straight from the fire pit and straight from the heart – all made for easy dining with friends and family.
Whether Nordic produce, Nordic flavoring or Nordic cooking techniques, you will taste the heritage of Swedish 3-Michelin star awarded chef Björn Frantzén throughout the gastronomy.
The restaurant name derives from one of Sweden’s oldest folklore, which tells the tale of a gigantic elk adorning an ornate crown, flying over the forests of Jämtland. Throughout history, many hunters have told stories over pints of ale in old taverns and cabins about their attempts to capture this flying elk, and how the fantastic beast – believed by many to be the true king of the forest – escaped their grasps every time.
